In this interview with Africa Tech Radio, Edouard Docteur, GVG’s Chief Delivery Officer, discusses ways to bridge the data trust gap to foster financial inclusion in Africa and RegTech’s role in building trust in the digital financial ecosystem. According to him, good governance and solid regulatory frameworks are essential to make consumers feel protected, and therefore to encourage the use of digital financial services. Effective regulation requires access to reliable data, which RegTech solutions can provide. Collaboration between stakeholders, standardization, interoperability, and the promotion of cross-border transactions also play significant in supporting adoption, as they ensure the relevance and effectiveness of the services.
