Following the publication of GVG’s white paper entitled Data-Driven Transparency and Compliance in the Digital Financial Ecosystem in Africa, GVG’s Chief Delivery Officer, Edouard Docteur, gave an interview to African Business Communities. In this interview, he briefly outlines the content of the white paper before explaining in detail the positive impact of a data-driven approach to compliance on money transfer services, financial inclusion, and African economies as a whole. The benefits of such an approach are however dependent on the right policies and technologies being implemented, to enable the safe and effective collection of data from the sector.
